Women of Steel

Women Of Steel 'A Living History of Corby ' Written and directed By Paula Boulton from jon paul martin on Vimeo.

This documentary drama was written to commemorate the 25 anniversary of the 1980 closure of Corby Steelworks it was filmed at The Arc Theatre Corby 2007.

It tells the story of the coming of Steel to Corby in the 1930s,the rise and fall of the Steel Industry and how it changed the lives of the people of Corby forever. How they survived and what it was like to live through the 'Wasted Years'?

This story is relevant even today! with the mothballing of the Teeside works, we know how you feel and our hearts go out to you and all the people affected by this wrong decision to close the plant but don't give up hope.

Written and directed by Paula Boulton from Corby KCAP were very happy to support this touching story.

Now at last available on our site but also available as a 2 disc DVD.
