Picture No. 34 IS a member of the Dixon family but I am not sure whether it is John or not.  I recall my gram, Rose Dixon, speaking of the dapple grey horse and this photo is in front of the Old White Hart, which my great grand-parents, William and Florence (nee Dellow) Dixon ran for many years. I will upload photos soon.

The gentleman in photo #27 is my great grandfather, William Dixon, proprietor of the Old White Hart.  He is astride the family's dapple gray.  The gentleman, also a Dixon, probably John, in photo #34 is astride that same dapple gray.
